The Gaian Halloween Festival!

Winning images of the photo contest

As the Halloween season came around, the Grace of Gaia announced it’s very first Halloween Festival, with pre-festival sign ups for The First Arc of Assassins – Halloween Edition, opening on the 25th of October (with the 25th also being the first day in our series of Halloween themed Questions of the Day on the regional message board)! The announcement saw the surprise launch of Gaia’s first new forum skin since its opening, the Halloween skin, which was well received and widely popular!

The 27th of October marked the official first day of the Halloween Festival! The first day opened up with a bang, with an all day round of Kugeln.io – which proved quite popular, and a one-shot round of DnD that lasted for hours (thanks to our wonderful host, Momo)!

On the 28th, we had a fun day of Skribbli.io, our photo contest opened up for submissions, and the First Arc of Assassins officially began (with sign ups having started on the 25th)! The First Day of Assassins proved to be a rather marvelous one! Of eight players who signed up, five died on the very first day – first up, Lies Kryos removed his target Limford with a corn cob – yeowch! After that, our very own Luci impaled poor DiRito via collapsing the stage floor under him. Not sure which was the worse way to go. Then Gallynukes got the best of poor old Lies Kryos, with his half a dozen – or more – pumpkins filled with concrete. Luci narrowly escaped being mathed to death by Kurc, who was then himself killed by Toxic Animal’s train. Just when it seemed things might settle down though, Toxic Animal fell victim to one of Momo’s gecko brethren, who chewed right through his throat. OK, that was definitely the worst way to go. Yeowch!

On the 29th, we had a nice day of Narwhale.io, and the Second Day of Assassins – which proved to be the last. Gallynukes fell quickly, when Luci employed a head eating skeleton. Oh, what a way to go. Unfortunately for Luci, while he was busy with his own kill, Momo employed the Reaper himself to off Luci. Ghostly wails rang out, and to this day we still have not been unable to locate Luci’s head. Perhaps having a nickname that included the term “Headless” throughout the duration of the festival wasn’t such a good idea. But in the end, one thing was certain, and that was that Momo was the champion of The First Arc of Assassins! On this day, we also had several hours of Jackbox games, hosted by everyone’s favorite Cap, and it was quite a blast!

The 30th came along, and we held a game of Splix.io while listening to an all day musicathon. Several times that day, our group was able to achieve the #1 ranking spot on the leaderboard – one of which was by a rather significant margin!

The 31st itself, a nice, relaxing day of movies. Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, the Great Pumpkin, and Ghostbusters made this a night to remember, all thanks to our movie host, DiRito-Opolis!

The 1st of November, the last day of the festival. A partial continuation of the previous day’s movie marathon, and the viewing of the ever so beloved The Nightmare Before Christmas, thanks once again to DiRito-Opolis! This day had a fun round of Doblons.io, and definitely saw some significant competition over who was going to sink whose ships! In addition, a round of League of Legends was hosted – and live streamed, by our very own Luci!

And finally, the festival came to an official end on the 2nd. Voting on the photo contest began, and the festivities wound down, and we extend our deepest thanks to each and every person who made it possible!

Until next time,
